During the Lok Sabha elections, the silent management move of Awadhesh Prasad proved to be infallible. He kept avoiding protests throughout the elections. He neither did any road show nor did he make any statement. He and his team kept busy in public relations and one-to-one campaigning. Due to this, BJP could not guess any of his moves and won the election.
The BJP was in an aggressive posture from the very beginning in the elections. Many ministers of the state and the center created an atmosphere by camping here. Dozens of rallies and meetings were held. On the day of nomination, many ministers of the state government including Uttarakhand CM Pushkar Singh Dhami were gathered.
Many bigwigs like Prime Minister Narendra Modi, CM Yogi, Deputy CM Keshav Maurya tried their best to create an atmosphere by doing road shows. But the other camp remained silent throughout the election. The organization prepared a plan for road shows of Dimple Yadav, Priyanka Gandhi, Iqra Hasan and public meeting of Shivpal Yadav and sent a proposal.
An agreement was reached on this, but Awadhesh Prasad refrained from protesting and all the programmes were cancelled. Other leaders and office bearers associated with SP kept interrupting him from time to time, but he kept moving at a snail’s pace. Despite a million comments, he did not change his style and manner of contesting elections.
